The Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology is delighted to share the publication of a recent research paper titled “Oral-diadochokinetic rates for Tamil-Speaking healthy ageing population: Non-word versus real-word repetition (dual protocol)” in the International Journal on Disability and Human Development.
The paper was authored by Krishna Vaishnavi (Former PG Student), Jasmine Lydia Selvaraj (Assistant Professor, SRFASLP), and Fareen Shahidha (Former PG Student).
This study focuses on oral-diadochokinetic (DDK) rates among Tamil-speaking healthy ageing individuals and compares non-word and real-word repetition tasks using a dual protocol approach. The findings contribute valuable insights into speech motor control and ageing-related speech performance in the Tamil-speaking population.
